FAQs
I feel nervous about talking to a stranger about this problem.
This is a common feeling for individuals who are struggling with this problem. After all, talking about this delicate topic to someone you have never met before can feel quite daunting, but this is quite normal and will soon pass. We are not here to I judge; we are here to help.
If I decide that I want to book a session; what do I do next?
You can get in touch by either our contact page or sending a text message to the number on our page. Or, if you prefer you can call us. We can then agree on a mutually convenient time for a free brief telephone consultation. This should take no longer than 15 minutes, but it will give you the opportunity to decide if you want to book a session.
Are our conversations confidential?
Absolutely yes! Everything discussed in therapy is strictly confidential and kept totally between you and the therapist, except in certain circumstances. These are; If there is a risk the client may harm another person/child then we are legally obliged to inform an appropriate authority. We may not necessarily inform the client of this action, but in the majority of cases, we do. The therapist may also talk about elements of your conversation with their supervisor, but once again you do not have to worry, as your identity will be protected.
How many sessions will I need?
This is a common question but quite difficult to answer as it is different for each individual. Each person will come with their own different story, each uniquely different to yours but nevertheless just as important. The level of time in therapy can vary depending on many factors; it really is difficult to put a time to it.
How often do I need to attend?
After the initial session we would suggest six more every week. We would then discuss how you feel therapy is working for you on the sixth session. The six weeks will allow you some time to understand the complexity of porn addiction plus put in place the tools needed to help you beat it.
What times are you open?
Our therapists offer sessions on weekdays from Monday through to Friday between 8am and 7pm. Some of our therapists also work Saturdays between 9am and 1pm.
What are your fees?
Sex and Pornography addiction sessions are £90 per session and we are able to offer a discount for block bookings of six sessions or more. We are available weekdays and evenings between 8am and 8pm and Saturdays between 9am and 1pm.
We are able to see you for sessions via Zoom/FaceTime and Skype.
Please feel free to call us, in the strictest confidence, on 07465 226668.
What if I can’t make my appointment?
Sometimes life does get in the way and cancelations do happen. If you do need to cancel, we like to ask for 24 hours notice otherwise we would expect full payment. This gives us a little time to allow other clients to reserve a session at that time. If the cancelation is made on the day we will charge the full amount, however, this can be discussed at the time.
