Referring on and supervision for therapists and counsellors
Working with a client who has been arrested for, or is worried about, sexual offending can raise questions about risk, boundaries and your own capacity. We work alongside therapists and counsellors in two ways.
Referring a client to us
We accept referrals from therapists, counsellors and other practitioners whose clients need specialist work on sexual offending, online offending or compulsive sexual behaviour. We can usually offer an appointment straight away, online across the UK.
- Online and contact offences
- Paraphilic thoughts and sexual interests the client is worried about
- Compulsive sexual behaviour
- Support for partners and family members, in their own right
Your client can contact us directly, or you can get in touch with their consent.
Supervision for your own practice
Ian Richards and Dr Glyn Hudson-Allez offer supervision for therapists and counsellors working with sexual offending, online offences and compulsive sexual behaviour. Ian is a trauma-informed psychotherapist and clinical supervisor. Glyn is a chartered psychologist and COSRT registered supervisor. Contact us to talk through what you need.
Confidentiality
We do not share information about a referred client without the client’s written consent, within the limits of safeguarding and the law.
